Do your part and wear a face mask/covering correctly

‼Covid-19 is still with us and we must all play our part in keeping ourselves, family, friends and neighbours safe.

One of the main ways is correctly wearing a face mask or covering.

This poster from the World Health Organization shows us the do’s and don’ts.✅❌

We must all do our part. God bless!😇

Christmas Artwork by Marion Swift

By Marion Swift
By Marion Swift

These friezes were hand-painted by Marion Swift, a member of the congregation of St Peter’s, for the Children’s Corner. Even though the church has had limited opening and visiting, we wanted them to be seen. Marion has painted several more for different events and festivals of the church year, which will be posted at the relevant times.

Coronavirus

Please click on the following link for the latest set of guidelines from the Church of England. Updated 13th July 2020.

Important: please read

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are calling for Church of England churches to put public worship on hold and become a “different sort of church” in the coming months to face the challenge of coronavirus.

In a joint letter, Archbishops Justin Welby and John Sentamu said it was now necessary to put public services on hold until further notice.

But they said that far from having to “shut up shop”, the Church of England must face the challenge by becoming a radically different kind of church rooted in prayer and serving others.

It comes after the Government announced unprecedented peacetime measures to try to control the spread of the virus, with restrictions on public gatherings, transport and working.

Unfortunately then due to the Covid C19 Virus St Peters Church will be closed for public worship for the foreseeable future.

The Mission Team of St Peters and myself will continue to pray for our community and country and that all who might catch the virus will recover swiftly and that we will be able to resume normal life
